Training

All TRAINING is at Western Oval, HBF Arena Joondalup
Joondalup Little Athletics Centre offers training for all its registered athletes. 
Training at Joondalup is a little different from other WA Centres, in that the Joondalup Centre offers a centralised training program to all its members.
For Under 6 to Under 12, training occurs in age/gender groups -- every age/gender group has its own coach who organises training for that age group. Training for these age groups is usually held one night per week for approximately 1 hour.
For Under 13 and up, training is offered in specific event disciplines (ie: sprints, middle distance, hurdles, long and triple jump, high jump, throws, and walks) and athletes can attend the event session that they are interested in. Training is offered every night, however, athletes can pick which sessions they wish to attend.
We are excited to also include water running sessions in our training for all U12 - U17 age groups. Water running sessions will be very beneficial for our growing athletes as they can gain the same benefits from a water running session as a track session without the jarring on their legs.
For Under 12s and upwards, water running at the HBF Arena Pool will now be held every alternative Monday evening from 7.00pm - 8.00pm. This will start on Monday 15th October and thereafter will be:

Mon 18 Feb
This will replace all U12 & U13 and U14+ track sprint training on these Mondays. There will be no sprints training on the track
